programs used for digital story
For my digital story I used;
1. Word for the script
2. Fotoflexer (on-line photo editing program) to manipulate my still images
3. Goldwave for audio, looked at wavepad, but didn't use it as it is not multi- track.
4. Excel for the storyboard
5. Quicktime, windows media player, windows moviemaker, and www.mediaconverter.org for video
6. Youtube was used to upload video, then post on the personal blog.
7. photostory 3 was the program used for the majority of the digital story
I look forward to trying out new programs that are "one stop shopping" for easily blending still images, video, and audio. I think mac is probably the best for streamlining all these different elements, I hear great things about imovie.

video upload
I found the process of converting and uploading video to be very easy. Whether or not I'll actually use video in my photostory is another story. I did take some video a month ago just in case. Since I'll already have narration, the movement of the transitions, and music, I wonder if video will just be too much for the viewer. It does seem like a hassle as well. I may just add a bit at the end, as part of the credits. Here is a video clip I might use in my final project.

audio
Sooo, I thought I was going to be sassy and imbed the little player in my blog via boomp3, but after I upload then send to blog, I end up with Mozart and NOT my homework??! So, I give up and here is a link to my sound sample.

Sound editing
I used Goldwave to blend a portion of my script with Bolero by Pink Martini. It was unusual. Sound editing is not very intuitive. There were so many options on Goldwave that were over my head.

script

I have a plan laid out for my personal photo story; The Painting Process, but I worry that there isn't any climax in the story, it's more informational. Still it is a journey, so I hope there is enough "meat" in the script to make a strong digital story.
Also a bit of shameless self-promotion. The painting featured in the rough draft of the photostory will be in a show and silent auction on Thursday, the 23 of October. Information included. There are a lot of activities and this would make a great pop culture review for Cameron White's class fyi.
